Who we are

We are Team Sojourn, a professional sled dog racing team based in Willow, Alaska, focused on long-distance racing and building a team from the ground up.

Sojourn Kennels was founded with a clear purpose: to raise, train, and race sled dogs with patience, care, and long-term focus. Our team is built thoughtfully, with every dog developed over time and treated as an individual. Health, trust, and responsibility guide every decision we make, on and off the trail.

As an independent kennel, we are committed to doing things the right way. We believe strong teams aren’t rushed. They’re built carefully, dog by dog, mile by mile, through consistent care and respect for the journey.

Adam Lindenmuth is the musher behind Team Sojourn and the founder of Sojourn Kennels. Based in Willow, Alaska, he brings years of hands-on experience and a deep respect for long-distance travel and endurance-based challenges.

Adam began mushing in 2017 and started racing in 2019, spending several years handling dogs for established kennels before founding Sojourn Kennels in 2021. His goal from the start was to build a sustainable, dog-first racing program from the ground up.

Before mushing, Adam completed the Pacific Crest Trail, Continental Divide Trail, and Arizona Trail—an experience that continues to shape his patient, preparation-focused approach to sled dog racing. Today, he remains focused on building a strong, healthy team and growing alongside the dogs who make the journey possible: Granite, Syl, Pine, Oracle, Saguaro, Gila, Sabino, Rock, Teft, Kaladon, Hoid, Yasnah, Vale, Lift, and Lopin.
